We have a long history with the Johannesburg Motor Show. In 2004, we already created the first Virtual Tour of the Johannesburg Motor Show (Auto Africa). For me, Gerald Ferreira, it is a personal passion for the Motor Show and Cars, and I loved capturing the show in a 360° Virtual Reality environment.
In 2011, we created a complete Virtual Tour (similar to Google Streetview) of the Motor Show. Online visitors could walk through the whole show, view the cars on display, and explore the various brands that exhibited at the show.
In 2013, we used our self-developed and engineered 360° video camera system to capture some of the Motor Show in 360° video.

Once you enter the Virtual Tour of the Johannesburg Motor Show, you can explore the show floor by moving in any direction. Click and drag on the Virtual Tour to look up, down, left, or right. Keep an eye out for “Hotspots”—these are interactive, flashing icons within the tour. Click on these hotspots to seamlessly transition between different scenes and exhibits.
Enhanced Viewing with Virtual Reality
For a truly immersive experience, we recommend viewing the Virtual Tour with a VR headset. Instead of using your mouse to navigate, you can simply look around—left, right, up, or down—by moving your head. To move through the tour, focus on a hotspot for 3 seconds, and you will be transported to a new location, allowing you to explore the Motor Show at your own pace.
