VR360 has captured the Johannesburg Motor Show (Auto Africa) since 2004. In 2011, founder Gerald Ferreira created South Africa's first comprehensive exhibition digital twin at the Nasrec Expo Center, connecting over 16 global automotive manufacturer stands in full 360° virtual reality.

The Johannesburg Motor Show at Nasrec brought the world's leading carmakers together. VR360 preserved these historic expos as high-definition digital archives accessible worldwide.
Gerald Ferreira created the first-ever 360° interactive panoramic tour of the Auto Africa Motor Show, laying the foundation for modern WebXR digital twins in South Africa.
A massive multi-hall virtual walkthrough was engineered covering the entire Johannesburg Motor Show. Online visitors could explore from stand to stand, just like Google Street View.
Using a bespoke 360° camera array designed and assembled by VR360, full motion 360° video was recorded on the exhibition floor, pioneering commercial VR video production in South Africa.

Multi-Hall Exhibition Spatial Twin
Visitors to the tour can click on interactive floor hotspots to transition seamlessly between exhibition halls, stand reception areas, and vehicle cockpits. Equipped with VR headsets or mobile gyroscopes, users can look in any direction to explore at their own pace.
